Short Description
Liverleaf can grow to a height of 25 cm.
The leave is divided into three lobes. The upper side of the leaf is green, the underside red-brown. The stalks of young leaves are densely covered in white hairs.
The stalks are very short so that all leaves are close to the ground (basal).
The flowers are separate and have long stalks. They are blue and have between five and ten petals.
The fruits are single-seed nuts clustered in an aggregate fruit.

In the city
Liverleaf is comparatively rare. In an urban environment, it can be found in deciduous forest and in shrubs or near-natural parks. It prefers moderately damp and shady sites with chalky soils.
