Short Description
The Pink ivy-leaved speedwell is a small, hairy plant.
The leaves are thin and slightly grey-green to light green. They are slightly five-lobed. The middle lobe is longer than wide.
The stem is usually ascending and up to half a metre long.
The flowers are pale violet, long-stalked and stand singly in the upper leaf axils.
The fruit is glabrous and almost spherical.

In the city
Pink ivy-leaved speedwell grows in riparian forests, hedges, gardens and fields. It prefers shady, fresh, nutrient-rich sites.
Fun Facts
The flowering period is from March to May.
It is an annual plant, i.e. it flowers only once and dies after the seeds have ripened.
