Short Description

The maiden pink can grow to about 40 cm high.

The leaves are long and narrow. They are covered with dense, short hairs.

The stem has short hairs and is only branched at the base.

The flowers are solitary or in panicles. They are purple with white spots and a dark ring.Ring.

The plant forms elongated capsule fruits.

In the city

Maiden pink is often found on acidic soils and dry sandy grasslands. Sometimes it can also be found in meadows that have been heavily influenced by humans. For the garden, there are white, pink, red and double varieties.
