Short Description
The coot is medium-sized, round and generally swims duck-like on the water. Characteristic is its white frontal shield. Its size varies from animal to animal, depending on age and gender.

In the city
In an urban environment, coots are often found on lakes in parks.
They are not very timid in human company and are happy to be fed. In winter, they like to visit feeding places.
