Short Description
Coal tits are small and yellowish with blue-grey upper parts and olive-grey wings. Chin and crown are black. Characteristic features are its white cheeks and the white patch on its nape.

In the city
Coal tits can be found in parks, cemeteries and gardens with conifers.
In winter, they visit bird feeders and come close to humans.

They can be found in Germany all year round and often hide seeds for later use.
It is the smallest of the tits in Germany.
